Meeting 23rd May 2026

*Information shared on behalf of LAGBP from the  meeting they hosted 23rd May 2026. This meeting was held independently of LAPRA and we are simply sharing this information for the benefit of our Members. Thank You*

“Dear All,

Please find attached our presentation and the meeting minutes from Saturday.
We would be grateful if you could pay particular attention to the Appendix, as we did not have time to cover it all in detail during the session. While all slides are important, the Appendix contains additional and hopefully helpful information.
The Appendix includes:
– A breakdown of the potential costs and the associated funding required depending on the number of donors.
– Links outlining the ecological situation in the field
– Information on the green/grey belt topic (as mentioned on Saturday, the term “grey belt” is very much a grey area).
– Guidance on how to respond to the consultation.
Please complete the consultation response as soon as possible. The deadline is 4 June 2026, and this step is extremely important. It must be completed individually, as we cannot do this on your behalf.
If it is easier, you are welcome to forward your response directly to Alex Farrell at Alex.Farrell@staffordshire.gov.uk.
You can be assured that your response will be treated with the utmost confidentiality, as are all emails received by LAGBP.
If you would like access to the documents mentioned above or would like to receive any further information or supporting material from the meeting, please click the buttons below to contact the LAGBP Team.
With our thanks and warm “sunny”regards,
LAGBP.

 Meeting 09th September 2025

There is a meeting at Little Aston Village Hall on the 9th September concerning the proposed development of Farmland by RAD.

All who are opposed to the development are invited to attend.

The attached documents are for you convenience if required and can be discussed if needed

LAPRA

Emergency Meeting

Further to the news earlier regarding the proposed new houses being built at the end of Roman lane, an emergency meeting has been organised by Claverdon Park directors and residents to discuss this.
They have asked LAPRA to invite all Little Aston Park residents to attend who are concerned and wish to voice their opinions and find out further information
Details for said meeting are *

*31 March 18:00hrs at Streetly Methodist Church. Hardwick Road (by island)*

Proposed development at the Bottom End of Roman Lane

It has come to our attention that a proposal has been submitted relating to the fields between the bottom end of Roman lane, extending beyond to the rear of Little Aston Park Road.
These plans are “to build 80 new houses which will include a percentage of social housing”
LAPRA understand ( but cannot yet confirm) that the status of “some of the fields, approx 15 acres out of the 45 acres total, have now been “granted change from green belt to grey belt” which if correct means they are on the way to getting this approved.

LAPRA and CPC met yesterday with the owners of the land to try to ascertain facts if possible

We did learn that on top of owning the fields, they also own Roman lane (this has been confirmed)

At this stage this is all LAPRA know but felt we should make all residents aware of what is going on as we feel many of you may wish to speak to the council yourselves and should, as residents be aware

Once we learn more we will keep you all advised but as said, this is what we know at this stage

LAPRA.
